Firm files wrongful death suit in Sacramento Superior Court

January 16, 2024 – Firm attorneys Nicholas A. Carlin and Michael D. Levinson have filed a wrongful death and survival lawsuit in Sacramento Superior Court on behalf of Marquis Smith, Jr., individually, and as representative of his father Marquis Smith, Sr.’s estate, against hematologist Babak Rajabi, M.D for medical malpractice. The complaint alleges that Dr. Rajabi was professionally negligent in his examination, diagnosis, care, and treatment of Marquis Smith, Sr., who had been hospitalized due to complications from sickle cell disease, which resulted in Mr. Smith’s death. The case has not yet been assigned to a judge.
