Class Certification Granted in Wise Auto Group Wage and Hour Lawsuit
March 11, 2025 - The Solano County Superior Court has granted class certification in a wage and hour lawsuit against Wise Auto Group and its affiliated dealerships. Attorneys Nicholas Carlin, Brian Conlon, and Robert Carroll secured the certification, ensuring that affected employees will have the opportunity to pursue their claims as a group.
The Court ruled in favor of Plaintiffs, allowing claims related to meal period violations to proceed on a class-wide basis. The certified class includes non-exempt employees who worked at the Vacaville Hyundai, Vacaville Nissan, Vacaville Kia, Vacaville GMC, Vacaville Dodge, and Vallejo Nissan dealerships as well as employees of Wise Vision, Inc. who were employed between January 7, 2021 and present.
The lawsuit alleges that these employees were routinely denied legally required meal breaks and that Wise Auto Group failed to compensate them for missed breaks, personal cellphone use, personal tool use, and overtime.
Additional Wage Violations? You May Still Have a Case
While the court certified claims related to meal period violations, employees who have experienced other workplace violations may still have individual claims. If you worked at Wise Auto Group or any of its affiliated dealerships including Wise GMC of Vacaville, Wise Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Vacaville, Wise Golden State Nissan, Wise Harley-Davidson of Yuba City, Wise Hyundai of Vacaville, Wise Infiniti of Marin, Wise Kia of Vacaville, Wise Mazda of Vacaville, Wise Nissan of Sacramento, Wise Nissan of Vacaville, Wise Nissan of Yuba City, Wise North Bay Nissan, Wise Redwood Harley-Davidson, Wise Vallejo Nissan, and Wise Buick GMC of Vacaville and experienced any of the following issues, you may have legal options:
Cell phone use – Required to use your personal phone for work without reimbursement?
Unpaid tool expenses – Paid out of pocket for tools required for your job or used your personal vehicle for work without reimbursement?
Rest break violations – Denied proper, uninterrupted 10-minute rest breaks?
Unpaid overtime – Worked overtime without proper pay?
If you believe you were affected by these or any other workplace violations, you may still be entitled to compensation.
